American Accent! App Reviews

Its funny because I already have an American accent, but I only got 54% on my first try.

I got an 88% score. I got a few words "wrong" but WHY are they wrong? It would be very helpful if they gave us examples of the "correct" way to pronounce a word. For example, it says I got the word "together" wrong, well can you tell us how to pronounce it the right way?? How do I know its wrong and how can I improve it? Your app is pretty useless if all you do is say we are wrong but cant tell us how to pronounce it right.

I dislike this app

I was born in California and very rarely been introduced to any accents or words from anything but pure English, yet this app gave me a terrible score! Im totally deleting it. This app would probably think that if youre from Russia you sound American. :/

Cool app !!! But needs a few adjustments . Like it needs 2 tell us what adjustments we need 2 make on r accent . But still really awesome . Never mind its not awesome . This is a good app. But not what I was expecting. But in my point of view its okay. Not the best thing in the world. Whos with me?

Im an American and I only got 89 percent????? Maybe the designer didnt understand that all Americans dont sound like rednecks.

This app is not good. I have an American accent and I used my everyday pronunciations of all of these words and yet I got an 86.

This app gave 86%, (wanna be an American?? or something like that) to an English dictionary audio pronunciation lol.

This app is kinda useless because none of us are truly American so u can never get 100%. This is getting lots of people mad. Sure, you can play this with ur friends and have a little fun but after a while it gets really REALLY BORING

Is the same word every time I open it dont get this app

For some resin it wont work and Im using a headset (with mic) and it wont work so I need help

I like this game, but every time i did say the words in an American accent, it didnt let me get it right. So I really am not a huge fan of this game. Please make it better.

Common ppl , you cant really tell if a person has an American accent just by listening to a few individual vocabularies. American accent goes beyond that -> Intonation, breath, and more. This app is really stupid and you guys take it so seriously. LoL.

Sort of boring

This game stinks.I am an American and I didnt get a score. I have a fluent American accent and it still didnt work no matter how many times I tried!!!So in my opinion this game is the worst

Its a fun app if youre truly bored but there are different types of accents. In America if youre born in New Jersey, youre going to get a different score then someone from Ohio, whos score will probably differ from somebody in Florida. Why? Because America has different types of accents, so saying that this tests an American accent doesnt really make sense. Furthermore, it doesnt tell you how to improve. I ended up with an 81% but when I want to know how to improve, it wont help. The app is pretty otherwise, I just thought that it could be improved.

Im a native-born American and teach the neutral American accent and pronounced each word phonetically correct and the highest I achieved is 89%. Not sure what American accent they are using to compare, but Id be surprised if anyone achieved 100%. Overall, its just a game if youre bored.
